The Fabric of Britain has always been about more than just sewing and quilt-making. It’s about stories, heritage, and creativity; about taking a traditional art form and reshaping it for the modern day. When I started this project, I always knew that we would need a visual identity that truly reflects its essence. That’s why I’m so excited to introduce our new brand, designed in collaboration with the brilliant Pete Coggan.
Pete has created something that goes beyond aesthetics; this brand is a reflection of everything The Fabric of Britain stands for. Our work is inherently creative but must always remain accessible. It is rooted in the past but speaks to the present. Our new identity captures this balance perfectly, blending tradition with a contemporary edge in a way that feels both fresh and timeless.
From our initial meeting, Pete took the time to understand not just what we do, but why we do it. The result is a brand that will represent and resonate in equal measure. It communicates our values, our vision, and our passion for keeping textile heritage and the sharing of stories alive, welcoming everyone on the journey with us.
I couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome, and I hope as you peruse the website and start to see it in action that you'll agree with me.
The wheels are turning (more on this soon!) and it's wonderful to be able to go out to the nation with a beautifully crafted identity.
