Become an active participant

Are you a resident or local to one of our current project areas? Why not join the initiative? You can make your own quilt square, either by attending one of our free Community Sewing Days or crafting something in your own time, purchase a block for your business, or donate a piece of special fabric of clothing which holds a memory for you. Keep an eye on our website for events and exhibitions.

Volunteer for a project

Make a difference with your time and skills

The Fabric of Britain wouldn't exist without our creative and inspiring volunteers. If you know your way around a sewing machine, are a talented quilt maker, or simply want to get involved in the project in another way, please get in touch. Volunteers receive invitations to all Fabric of Britain events, including exclusive exhibition openings and launch parties.

Launch a Fabric of...

In every corner of the country

Fabric of Britain projects are much more than just opportunities to encourage individuals in creative pursuits - they are designed to bring whole communities together, regardless of background, age or status. If you'd like to see a Fabric of Britain project in your region, contact us to find out the steps to make this a reality.

Every Contribution Matters

Every Fabric of Britain initiative relies on bespoke and tailored partnerships with local businesses and corporates. The value that these organisations bring to our projects is immeasurable. Project partners have the opportunity for scaled promotion and publicity, invitations to private events and free inclusion of business blocks, amongst many other benefits.
